Our opinion is to be weary of companies who will give you no idea of price - you may need to prepare for two to three hours of (often high pressure) sales tactics and price discount gimmicks.

Ella's Bubbles offers several models and sizes and offers a dual drain system which reduces down to a single drain beneath the tub - draining at the same speed as tubs with one drain. This only complicates installation. Ella's Limited Lifetime Warranty covers the frame, shell, and finish. The door is covered under "normal use and conditions", while the rest, including the door seal is covered for 5 years.

Seabridge offers a few different models of "standard" walk in tubs with an inward swing door - sized to replace a standard bathtub. Unfortunately, the Seabridge walk-in baths come in different widths but their maximum length is only 48", which can be very cramped for the user. In addition, their "Classic" model is designed with a 7"-8" step in height, with a low 13.5" seat height. Seabridge does offer longer tubs - which requires the user to lay in the tub - in our opinion, this defeats the purpose of a safety walk in tub.
We feel that the 17" seat height is optimal, and there are much lower step in options in the walk-in tub market. Seabridge does not offer a water jet hydrotherapy system at this time. Finally, the Warranty only covers the tub shell for 5 years, the door latch and controls for only 1 year, and air motor for only 2 years. The door seal does carry a lifetime warranty.
