Safe Step is often in the higher range of price. Tub is made in the USA, but ability to customize the walk-in tub is limited, if not unavailable, and price is often high.

Each company promotes their tub as the best out there but watch for subtle differences. The size of the tub, the height of the step-in, warranty coverage on the tub and faucets, the ability to customize, and ease of installation are some important things to consider before purchasing your walk in bathtub... and let's not forget the price! Many companies will not even give you a hint of what this project will cost you, instead they will send a salesman - some even try high pressure sales tactics or offer unreasonable "discounts" for buying "today". If a company is unwilling to give you any idea of a cost on the phone, you might consider what they may be hiding or simply why... All companies who provide installation may need to send out a Representative to look at the bathroom and measure for the job. Our opinion is to be weary of companies who will give you no idea of price - you may need to prepare for two to three hours of (often high pressure) sales tactics and "price discounts". Ella's Bubbles offers several models and sizes of acrylic tubs. These products are manufatured in China, and the shell, frame, and finish are covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty. The door is covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty under normal use and conditions. Supporting equipment is covered by a Limited five year warranty.

On a good note, Rane does offer a very wide selection of bathtubs. Many of which have the outward swinging door, which may not fit in a standard bathroom. Rane has dealers throughout the country and often falls into the higher priced tubs category.

Lowe's - Sells Jacuzzi Brand (Acrylic) & American Standard (Gel Coat made in China, Acrylic made in US) Brand Walk in Bathtubs (price range $3895 - $8800 + tax, + shipping if available) Faucet Not Included. Wall Surround Not Included. Installation Not Included. (installation will typically cost $2500-$3500) ** Endurance, Laurel Mountain, and Total Care "brand" (each is made in China) walk-in tubs are offered by Lowe's as well. These products are imported and we encourage our readers to buy American made products.

Theratub is another Walk-in Tub company earning their recommendation and rating due to the Quality of Products they offer - the BOCA made walk in bathtubs, and the helpful, knowledgeable staff. Theratub always recommends the Made in the U.S.A. tubs and offers full installation, and their tubs offer a Lifetime Warranty. Theratub offers free in-home consultations and will often provide over the phone prices.
It's refreshing to discover more companies taking this approach with customers in the Walk-in Tub Business. Seabridge Tubs
Seabridge offers a few different models of "standard" walk in tubs with an inward swing door - sized to replace a standard bathtubs. Seabridge walk-in baths come in different widths but their maximum length is only 48". In addition, their "Classic" model is designed with a 7"-8" step in height, with a low 13.5" seat height. Seabridge does offer longer tubs.
Seabridge does not offer a water jet hydrotherapy system at this time. Finally, the Warranty covers the tub shell for 5 years, the door latch and controls for only 1 year, and air motor for 2 years. The door seal does carry a lifetime warranty. Seabridge has dealers throughout the country and will sell directly.
Premier offers several models and sizes as well as walk-in showers.
Premier is often one of the most expensive tubs in the market. We've found so many different price quotes & estimates from this company that we are unable to determine how they decide on pricing their product. No pricing is offered over the phone.
